Little Land is a well-established nursery in Dubai with a
caring and friendly
atmosphere. All of our teachers have pre-school teaching qualifications
equivalent to the
National Nursery
Examination Board (N.N.E.B., UK) diploma; and we also encourage all of
our classroom
assistants to gain formal
nursery teaching credentials. Our nursery section is for
children from
14
months old (and walking), and our Montessori section is
for children from 2½ to 4 years old.

As well as six classrooms, Little Land has a
spacious playground
divided into four large shaded areas; we aim to provide your
child with the best facilities to develop his/her self-confidence and
independence.
Our Nursery
Children
from 14 months to 2½ years enjoy a traditional nursery
environment, where they can play with a wide selection of
toys and materials,
both inside and outside the classroom. From arts and
crafts to sand and water play, and from books and puzzles to music and
movement, we encourage the children to explore their
environment
and to
develop their senses.

Our caring and dedicated teachers help to encourage
the children's independence, language, hand-eye co-ordination
and motor skills.
Montessori Centre
The Montessori section is for children over 2½ years (in the
September of the academic year in which they join).
Montessori is a system of nursery, primary and secondary education
devised by Dr Maria
Montessori in the 1950s. She developed special teaching methods and
equipment to maximise each child's physical and psychological potential
at each stage of his/her development.

In practice, this means that we divide our
Montessori
classrooms
into six areas: Art, Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics
and Culture (which includes geography, nature and science). We
give the children the freedom to choose from the
different sections around the classroom; and
we encourage
them to complete their chosen activity, working at their own pace.
Giving children the freedom of choice, movement, speech and opinion
within a well-structured environment means
they are eager to
learn,
becoming more independent and self-confident.
Our Montessori-qualified
teachers work individually with each child,
carefully
charting his/her progress and recognising when
he/she is ready to move on to the next stage.
