Hello my name is Shayeeka Ruknaddin and I’m the Lead Montessori Teacher in Bluebells. I have been in Dubai for nearly three decades and I’m a mother of three lovely children. I have a degree in English Literature and Montessori Pedagogy. I started teaching in 2008 and before joining Little Land I worked as an FS2 teacher in a primary school, and as an upper preschool teacher and academic coordinator in an EYFS nursery. I absolutely love working with little children, not just because I get to teach the children but also because I get to learn so much from them!! Teaching is my passion and my mission is to instill the love of learning in these little children. As a teacher, I believe the mission of education should be to stimulate and release the wisdom inherent in children. I love travelling, learning new things and reading.
Hello my name is Nav Lalh and I am the Second Montessori Teacher in Bluebells. I have been living in Dubai since 2008 with my family. I have 2 wonderful children and have grown to love this country as my own. I am originally from London and I completed a BA Honours degree in Business Studies with Ecommerce at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University. During this time I was fortunate enough to work part time as a dental nurse and Canon UK representative, and by the time I graduated I was a fully trained dental nurse! After graduating I worked within the local government under social services and found this job to be very inspiring as my role was to help provide a service to those who most vulnerable. When I moved to Dubai I studied at Gulf Montessori to become a fully qualified Montessori Teacher with an international Diploma in Montessori Teaching. I am also First Aid Certified. I was first introduced to the Montessori Method by family who own a school in the U.S and when learning upon this method I instantly fell in love with the teachings and wanted to change careers. Being a mother to two young children, I take great pleasure in working with other children within a Montessori environment. I take pride in my profession and love to see all children have the opportunity to work at their own pace and grow in all areas of development. I have followed the Montessori Method for many years and both of my children were part of this environment which I strongly believe has benefited them. I hope to continue to develop myself and have thoroughly enjoyed my journey so far and look forward to many more years of experience. I am looking forward to many wonderful teaching experiences at Little Land with the children and my colleagues. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, reading, walks along the beach and regular workouts at the gym.
Hello I’m Louise Anninger and I am a Teacher Assistant in Bluebells. I attended Little Land as a child in the 90’s and completed my schooling in Dubai. I have a first class degree in Psychology and have volunteered and been on placements at schools throughout my time at university. I will also be completing my CACHE 3 course this year. I’m excited to start my career working with children, it is so rewarding to see how they progress, develop and learn. Little Land is a wonderful nursery and I’m looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
Hello I’m Siobhan and I’m a Teacher Assistant in Bluebells. I am married with two lovely children and I have worked with little children for nearly fifteen years. Before coming to Little Land I taught a special needs child who needed a lot of extra help full time. I love teaching and really enjoy doing art and craft with the children.
Hi I’m Misbah Mehta and I’m a Teacher Assistant in Bluebells. I am a Montessori teacher and have been at Little Land since 2007. I have been living in Dubai since 2000 and I’m married with two children. I love working with little children as their success and accomplishments are so rewarding for me. I want to leave a positive influence on these young lives! I love travelling and trying different cuisines from all parts of the world.
I am Mirjam Wisman and it’s a pleasure to introduce myself to you as one of the Teacher Assistants at Little Land. Since the start of 2017 I’ve joined the team on Wednesdays and Thursdays and it has been wonderful working with your children and the Bluebells team.
Originally from the Netherlands, I have been in the Middle East since 1995. I worked with Gulf Air in Bahrain and moved to Dubai in 2000 and have lived here ever since. I became a mum in 2010 and my eldest daughter joined the Winnie the Pooh class at Little Land when she was still very, very young (it seems like yesterday…) and she loved her time at Little Land! It is very special to be back here and I am enjoying every minute of it.
